As days are passing by, the Lionel Messi Transfer Saga is just getting better and better. After, FC Barcelona was thrashed by UEFA Champions League champions, FC Bayern München in the Quarter-Final and the 10-goal thriller was recorded as their worst exit ever from any tournament.
Almost after a fortnight, Barça and Argentine legend, Lionel Messi sent the now-famous burofax to the club authority stating his strong will to leave the club. FC Barcelona is the only club, Leo has represented in his senior career. Though being threatened to get banned from football by FIFA for leaving the club against the club’s will, La Pulga is still determined to leave the club and Manchester City looks to be the favourites to land the Argentine veteran at Etihad.
As per reports, Messi had said earlier that, if FC Barcelona President, Josep Maria Bartomeu doesn’t resign then he is not going to stay in Catalonia.
Though later, reports claimed that, Leo had made an irrevocable statement that, no matter if Barça President resigns or not, he is not going to wear the jersey again for the Catalan Giants.
In the meantime, Bartomeu spices up the ‘most-celerated’ transfer saga ever with his masterstroke. As per the Spanish Media, Bartomeu is willing to resign if Messi publicly says that the problem is the president and that he wants to stay at Barça without Bartomeu.
And this would clearly mean to the common masses that, if messi stays, it is cause he dictates over the club. He is the one who runs the club over his own will by selecting the players, managers and even the president!
On the other hand, if Messi leaves then, Bartomeu would claim that he did everything possible to convince him to stay even to an extent that he was completely ready to organise an Associate press and declare his resignation.
It seems like that, the Best player in the World is in the worst phase of his career and we hope that he will surely be able to overcome it and will provide us with some more unforgettable memories for whichever team he plays, as we reach the end of his glorious career.
