Matchday 92 of the Hero ISL will see the Marina Machans go up against their major rivals FC Goa at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim.
Blast from the past:
Earlier in the season, the Fatorda witnessed some Crivellaro magic as Chennaiyin FC handed Goa a 2-1 defeat.
Chennaiyin FC:

The Southern Giants have been on a downward slide ever since their skipper Crivellaro was ruled out for the rest of the season due to an injury. The two time champions have been convert chances in the final third as they have scored the least number of goals (11) and have also failed to score from open play in their last 6 outings. The Marina Machans were a handed a 0-1 by their former manager’s side Jamshedpur FC in their last match courtesy of an injury time own goal by defender Enes Sipovic. Csaba László will hope his side puts up a great show against the Gaurs.
“Like always to be positive, to show that the players and ourselves will take the best positive results out of these games. We had bad periods, but we are not the team that goes down easily. We are a team that can stand up and we want to have a good position in the table at the end of the season,” said Csaba László at the pre match press conference.
FC Goa:

The Hero ISL shield winners will be pumped up to end their run of draws and secure a play off spot. FC Goa scripted a tremendous comeback against the League leaders Mumbai City FC in a 6 goal thriller in their previous encounter and are not short of confidence unlike their opponents. The Gaurs need to fix things at the back as they have leaked 8 goals in their last 5 matches and have kept just 2 cleansheets, the second lowest in the league. A win against Chennaiyin FC will be a step forward towards the top 4 for Juan Ferrando’e side.
“This team is hard working in all the games. In the end, it’s most important that the team has a strong personality and character and they always want to win. When there is pressure, the team keeps going and is always positive. Our mentality is to get three points,” FC Goa head coach Ferrando said ahead of the game.
Players to watch out for:
Esmael Goncalves

Igor Angulo

The Spaniard is just one goal shy in the golden boot race with 10 goals to his name. Angulo has been really clinical in front of the goal and the 37 year old has left no stones unturned to fill the big boots of Ferran Corominas.
Probable Starting XI:
Chennaiyin FC: Kaith (GK), Reagan, Eli Sabia, Sipovic, Jerry, Vanspaul, Thapa, Ali, Chhangte, Lanzarote, Isma
FC Goa: Moirangthem (GK), Seriton, Donachie, Adil Khan, Gama, Martins, Bedia, Jesuraj, Ortiz, Noguera, Angulo
