Indian Super League 7 : Individual training pitches allotted to all clubs

India’s Mega Football event is all for a return in late november and Goa has been handed the opportunity to host the 7th edition of the Indian Super League.

The Organisers of the Indian Super League, Football and Sports Development Limited (FSDL) have finalised individual training grounds for the all the clubs but 3 clubs have made their own arrangements.

The league had shortlisted 12 grounds out of which 7 will be made available to the respective clubs while the other 3 clubs have preferred other training grounds above the ones suggested by the organisers.

FC Goa, Bengaluru FC and Hyderabad FC are the 3 clubs who will be using their preferred Training pitches. FC Goa have entered in a partnership with the Panchayat and will be putting in hard shifts at the Panchayat ground in Salvador do Mundo.

Sunil and Company will be training at the JSW excellence centre before flying down to Goa as their training pitch that is located at the Dempo Academy will be available for them from early November.

On the other hand, the Nizams of Hyderabad and have reached an agreement with St Anthony’s High School to use their new ground at Monte de Guirim.

Out of the 12 training facilities offered by the league, the top 2 have been picked by Reigning Champions of the Indian Top flight ATK Mohun Bagan and Chennaiyin FC. Both the clubs will be training at the Trinity ground in Benaulim and SAG ground at Utorda respectively. These 2 pitches have the facility to train under flood lights.

The Highlanders Northeast United FC will be training on the Newly-laid turf at Candolim in North Goa, Kerala Blasters have been allotted the Peddem sports complex in Mapusa and Jamshedpur FC chose the Panchayat ground in Sangolda.

The City football group owned franchise Mumbai City FC will be training at the Panchayat ground in Nagoa while Odisha FC have chosen their training pitch at Betalbatim after careful consideration.

All the teams will be assembling in Goa between the 25th and the 30th of September except former Champions Bengaluru FC.
