International cricket all set for resumption

International Cricket was temporarily stopped due to Covid19 and it is set to return this July. England and Wales Cricket Board(ECB) have announced the three match Test series against West Indies. UK Government have provided clearance to conduct the series.

West Indies squad have arrived in England. They set foot on English Soil on June 9. They have travelled to Emirates Old Trafford for Quaratine and training purposes. This will be Windies base for three weeks before travelling to Ageas Bowl for the commencement of the series.

Ageas Bowl will be hosting the first test between England and West indies. While Old Trafford is set to stage the second and third test. Edgbaston is selected as a contingency and a training venue. Decision on the scheduled matches for England squad will be decided on a later date. ECB is working hard to keep everything and everyone safe . Officials and doctors are working hard to make this series possible as scheduled.

Series Dates

  1. 8-12 July at Ageas Bowl
  2. 16-20 July at Emirates Old Trafford
  3. 24-28 July at Emirates Old Trafford

Venues had to demonstrate key principles like

  1. Biosecurity
  2. Medical screening/testing provision
  3. Footprint to enable social distancing
  4. Venue/Cricket operations
