The wait is finally over for IPL 2020. It’s 19th September and India’s biggest cricketing event, Indian Premier League is back with it’s 13th edition.
The opening match of the season is going to be a screamer as it is the defending champions of IPL, Mumbai Indians versus the favourites, Chennai Super Kings. Mumbai have the most number of IPL titles for their name while, Chennai have their name just behind Mumbai.
The match will be played at Sharjah stadium and with a blend of dusty pitch in the match, the pitch is going to favour the batsmen. The pitch conditions are as usual that is, it will be having less bounce and the spinners will be having the advantage during the second innings.
With a pretty good batting lineup, Mumbai will be having an advantage with big hitters like Rohit Sharma, then Kieron Pollard who is going through an astonishing form who will be bolstered by Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya. On the other hand, Chennai wil come up with a cluster of experienced players to yield results.
This time Chennai must be going for an experiment for the alternative of Suresh Raina who announced his complete retirement from all cricketing formats on 15th August. Also, Mumbai Indians should make some changes with regards to the pitch conditions if they bat first.
On summing up, it can be concluded both the teams may do some tactical changes in order to buckle up for the ‘El Classico of Indian Premier League‘. This year’s IPL is surely going to blast off with a cracking match.
