Ole Gunnar Solskjaer facing a tough test – De Gea or Henderson?

Manchester United’s present condition under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been pretty good so far and under gaffer Ole, it seems like The Red Devils are regaining their deserving stature once again. But now, all the spotlights are on Ole as Manchester United is looking for a squad build currently and therefore, it has become a matter of concern for the Norwegian Manager as he has to select any one as the team’s prime goalie but whom — De Gea or Henderson?

As per reports, out of the two, any one is expected to leave Old Trafford by next season. Sources are indicating that Henderson is frustrated by his lack of opportunities this term. He was expecting more of a chance to compete as the club’s Premier League keeper but has only played two and a half games. His other ten outings have been in cup competitions.

After having an impressive 2018/19 season at Sheffield United, Dean Henderson wasn’t loaned further and joined the senior team of Manchester United from the latter’s Under-23 squad. But, with Spanish star, David De Gea being already at The Theatre of Dreams, it seems like Hendy didn’t get the enough of chances to prove his worth for the Premier League giants.

United would be willing to listen to offers for De Gea at the end of this season, but they don’t hold much hope of finding a buyer, largely due to his high wages. There’s a small chance PSG come knocking as they are also looking at Hugo Lloris and Gianluigi Donnarumma but at this stage, there has been no contact.

If De Gea stays, sources say Henderson will very likely ask for a move with Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspurs being the two favourites who are eyeing for the English goalkeeper. He feels ready for regular action and if that’s not at United, as he dreams, it’ll have to be elsewhere.
