International cricket is set to resume from July 8 as mighty England is going to take on West Indies in three match test series. Now Pakistan has also arrived England for three Tests and three T20Is . Pakistan team has landed on English soil this Monday and now they are going to be in quarantine for 14 days.
Pakistan has earlier announced a 29 member squad for the upcoming series. After Covid-19 Test 10 members of that list tested positive thus they sent a 20 member squad for the series. The series is going to commence from 30 July which consists of three tests and three T20Is. Azhar Ali is going to be the captain of test side and Babar Azam is going to lead the team in T20Is. Both these players are one of the best batsmen of their country.
The series is going to be played in closed doors in a bio secure environment. The Pakistan team and support staff has arrived at Manchester on a chartered flight. They have arrived from Lahore after landing they were transported to Worcestershire.The team were scheduled to undergo England and Wales Cricket Board testing before completing their 14-day isolation period. During which they will be allowed to train and practice. The side will then move to Derbyshire on July 13.
This series is again going to be important in terms of Sports returning after Covid. ECB and Wales Cricket Board has shown the courage to host 2 bilateral series. The pandemic is still there but they have planned it well. They are executing the series by every possible safety arrangements of the players and support staffs. Both the boards are on the verge of creating a history.
