Q. Tell us when did you discover the love for Football in you?

Sahal : Football is a major part of my life since childhood. I grew up watching my elder brother play. I used to play for my school team at NIMS, Al-Ain. It was during this time that I realized my love for this sport. And I thank God for this early realization.

Q. Take us through the early stages of your career.

Sahal : Like I have always said, the turning point in my life was my decision to come to Kerala for my graduation. Playing for my college team (SN College) opened a door to the U-21 Team of Kannur district and then onto the Kerala Team for Santhosh Trophy. I was then signed by Kerala Blasters for the club’s reserve team in 2017.

It was from there that I started adopting a professional structure of football and was soon promoted to the senior team. Kerala Blasters played a major role in shaping my career to what I am now. The National team call that came afterwards was a dream come true for me and I am indeed privileged to be a part of a squad that has some of the finest quality players from all over India.

Q. How does it feel to don the Yellow Colours for Kerala Blasters?

Sahal : I have learnt some valuable lessons from my time here at Kerala Blasters, that has helped me through my journey till today. It feels like home to play in Yellow. Yellow has seen my ups and downs and I am indeed happy to don this colour for the club for seasons to come.
