Saurabh Bhanwala : The Aspiring Talent of Indian Football

Saurabh Bhanwala , the 20 years old defender and a budding footballer currently plays for Punjab FC.To say the least his skills have impressed the audience. Luckily we’ve had the opportunity to have a little interview with him , here are some snippets of it.



Q.To be so young yet doing so well in your career, how has the journey been so far?

Saurabh : The journey had been a rollercoaster ride with many ups and downs , yet I enjoyed it so much as this is what I love to do , I love this profession . I started playing football in Delhi and being from a sports background my dad always inspired me to give all in sports. Then during my high school I was selected in Delhi Dynamos FC (U-18) and training under many professional coaches and staffs changed my whole mindset , that was the time I decided I had to play professionally anyhow.



Q.How exactly would you describe your experience of playing for Punjab FC?

Saurabh : It feels very motivated to play for Punjab FC ,the management and coach here Curtis Fleming (one of the renowned player in premier league) are very professional .After leaving minerva punjab fc last year I joined Punjab FC and participated in 2nd div which had been a great experience to play under one of the greatest coach who was a defender himself and sharing his experience with us . I’m very positive and looking forward for playing this season with Punjab FC in upcoming I league.



Q.Who has been your toughest contender/opponent so
far?



Saurabh : The best player whom I have ever played with is Phillip Njoku. I played with him in Minerva Punjab FC, he was a player with a great fighting spirit and a good character, he always motivates the team to perform better .
