Skipper KL Rahul’s versality in batting order will be an added advantage for KXIP this year

The 28 year old young lad KL Rahul is undoubtedly one of the most fierce batsman in recent era. In the last few years he earned lot of attention with his Batting and Wicket keeping skills.

Kannaur Lokesh Rahul started his international career in 2010 U-19 world cup. Later he joined the Karnataka Cricket team and made his debut in domestic Cricket against Punjab. 
Throughout his first class career he scored more than 5000 runs along with 14 centuries and 29 half centuries. His fine stats made sure he was listed in the 2014 IPL auction and was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs.1 crore.

After that the rest is history, In 2018 he was picked by Kings XI Punjab and since then, he has been merely excellent for the franchise. He scored 593 runs and 659 runs in last two seasons at an average of 53.90 and 54.91.

The best quality of KL Rahul is that he can adapt to the team requirements at any batting order without harming his techniques. His orthodox type flick shot is of sheer class for the spectators. The enthusiastic approach towards the games makes him the first of choice for the team selection. He always find a way to stay focused on the pitch.

This year Rahul will lead the King’s side in forthcoming Indian Premier League. And it’s interesting to see that how did he tackle down the responsibilities that have been given to him. In a recent interaction former KKR captain Gautam Gambhir feels that, “KL Rahul is a fantastic T20 Cricketer and genuinely want to watch him as a captain in IPL 2020.”
