The merged entity between ATK and Mohun Bagan will be known as ATK MOHUN BAGAN.
The board of directors of ATK Mohun Bagan officially announced the much awaited name of the new entity. The board also retained the iconic green and maroon jersey which has been a part of Mohun Bagan’s 131 years of legacy. The addition of ATK in the logo is the only change made by the directors apart from the removal of the established year. Though this is the football club which is part of bigger foray of Athletic Club which consists of more sports.
The sentiments and emotions of the country’s finest fan base has also been preserved in the logo and the jersey.
Dr Sanjeev Goenka Principal owner ATK Mohun Bagan private limited expressed his gratitude towards all the legends who have contributed their bit to the great history and legacy of one of the world’s oldest football clubs – Mohun Bagan.
The board also discussed about the future plans for the betterment of Indian Football. The company will go all out to become the powerhouse of Indian football. Mohun Bagan soccer schools will be established in all the parts of the country to impart higher football education in India.
