After the umpire signaled ‘STUMPS DAY 3’, the Indian fans are once again in disappointment. At the end of Day 3 of the third test between India and Australia, the win predictor seems to be: AUS – 90%, DRAW – 7%, IND – 3%.

Australia were bowled out for 338 runs in the first innings, a big applause to Steve Smith for his remarkable ton and Labuschagne’s 91, Ravindra Jadeja showed off his class as a utility cricketer for the Men in Blues after he bagged 4 wickets for 66 runs. Also, his direct hit run-out is the recent talk of the town. Indian team came out to bat as they were trailing by 338 runs on Day 2. Expectations were high from Rohit “Hitman” Sharma but maybe, his recent recovery from injury didn’t allow him to stay on the crease for a long time as he managed to score just 26 runs of 77 balls which included three 4s and one 6(s).

After Rohit returned to the pavillion, India’s present most-promising Star, Shubhman Gill came took the baton in his hand and scored very crucial 50 runs of 101 balls which included eight 4s. On the side, Cheteshwar Pujara too added 50 runs of 176 balls which turned out to be another crucial innings for the Indian-side. Captain Ajinkya Rahane’s performance was not so impressive as he could only manage 22 runs of 70 balls which include a four and a six.

India wicketkeeper Saha comes out as a substitute

Hanuma Vihari was a flop as usual after he scored only 4 runs of 38 balls and it’s a matter of concern as after given so many opportunities, this player has readily failed on all occasions. Well, Karun Nair deserves atleast another call from the national team to prove his worth. If these players are given so many opportunities then why won’t he get? After the poor performance from the middle-order, Rishabh Pant added 36 runs of 67 balls while, Sir Jadeja remained not out for 28 runs of 37 balls which was a pretty decent knock by a lower middle-order batsman. India were bowled out for just 244 runs which included 3 run-outs.

Australia came out to bat for their 2 innings, and with a lead of 94 runs in prior they have added 103 runs over it as they remain 103 for the loss of 2 wickets after 29 overs on day 3. Labuschagne (47* of 69 balls) and Smith (29* of 63) currently batting as they have a lead of 197 runs already. It clearly seems like India is on it’s way to lose the third test.
