It seems like the fortune of Odisha FC had got back it’s harsh fate once again as they faced another defeat to the hands of Chennaiyin FC in the reverse fixture at the GMC stadium, Bambolim.

Odisha FC versus Chennaiyin FC

The young left winger of the Marina Machans, Lallianzuala Chhangte bagged the ‘Winning pass of the game’ award while the Indian wonder boy, Anirudh Thapa was honoured with the ‘Player of the match’ honour versus Odisha FC. With the absence of their no. 10, Rafael Crivellaro, gaffer Csaba Laszlo had to solely depend on his two-man strike line of Jakub Sylvestr and the star striker Esmael Goncalves, who found the net twice on this occasion. Once in the 15th minute and then, converted from the spot in the 21st minute.

On the other side, Odisha‘s Brazillian playmaker, Marcelinho made a comeback to the team but failed to prove his worth once again for his new club. The dejection on the Odisha FC gaffer Baxter’s face was clearly visible after the match. In the 63rd minute of the match, the Brazillian no. 9, Diego Marucio netted the consolation goal for the Juggernauts as Chennaiyin FC went on to seal the game 2-1.

With this defeat, Odisha stays at the bottom of the table with just 6 points from 11 matches while Chennaiyin FC moved to fifth place from eighth place by accumulating 14 points from the same number of games and will be surely in search of getting a spot in the top 4 of the league table.
