The 2020-21 Premier League season keeps living up to its expectancy and keeps delivering more and more as we get another league leaders joining the race to hail the title.

This time the team happens to be none other than Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who after some sloppy start to the season have found back their commitment and do mean some very serious business. The Sky Blues have not dropped points in their last 11 games in all competition, which clearly indicates the incredible form the are experiencing.

Man City are also the 9th team to go top of the table this season, something which has never happened in the history of the Premier League and simply proves why the 2020-21 season is going to be very exciting and nail biting as the season commences. Although Man City’s star player Kevin De Bruyne was not available for the Cityzens in their match against the Baggies due to injury, his absense was indeed not felt as City’s other players stepped up to the occasion and gave their very best to neglect the absense of their Marquee and provide proper focus on the game.

Ilkay Gundogan scores another Premier league goal

A brief example of a person with such a personality last night was İlkay Gündoğan, the german midfielder scored 2 goals last night and was an key figure in filling KDB’s absense in the midfield as he contributed in tons in the 52 minutes he played. Also to speak of the Herman’s current form, he now has 7 goals in his last 8 games.

Among other goal scorers were Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling who are very important figures in the squad and have contributed a lot towards the present form and their success in domestic leagues. These two players along with Phil Foden have made the attack very dynamic and tough with goals in plenty.

Manchester City, which has let the club down in recent years compared to its world class attack, has made the club proud this season, with the defenders not only solid in stopping the opponent’s attack but have also helped in the attack by helping in scoring and assisting goals. Players like John Stones, Kyle Walker and João Concelo are perfect examples of the above statement and have helped the club a lot in the final 3rd.

Altogether the simple conclusion to the topic we can get is that it’s a complete team effort that has helped Man City to dominate the English Top flight in the past few weeks and make their way to the very top, but due to the unstable nature of the table and also the slim gap between the team’s at the top anything can happen and as the season progresses.
