Today, On the 3rd of the Chennai Test, the tailenders of England resumed their innings from 555 for 8. They managed to add only 23 runs today and set a led of 578 runs to India.

Rohit Sharma and youngster Subhmann Gill started the Indian innings. The pitch turned completely different from past two days. There shows some uneven bounce and the balls started to turn. Experienced James Anderson did not manage to pick wickets but his line and length is exceptionally good but Jofra Archer who plays his 1st test match in india, took the advantage of pitch and picked two crucial wickets of Rohit Sharma(6) and Shubman Gill(29).

Captain Virat Kohli  was dismissed by newcomer Dom Bess at only 11 runs. The reason behind this dismissal is Kohli’s bad shot selection. His head and foot are not in the proper position. Ajinkya Rahane threw his wicket at only single run.

After falling of 4 wickets team india went to down under pressure but again Mr. Dependable Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant saved india. While pujara played in a defensive mood otherend Rishabh Pant played his normal attacking base cricket. They both saved India again. Pujara got out at 73 runs.

But Rishabh Pant continued his innings in same tempo but couldn’t stay many more in the crease and missed his well deserved 100 again and got out at 91 by Dom Bess.

Jofra Archer got 2 wickets and Dom Bess picked 4 crucial wickets. Jack Leach, the another spinner was badly punished by Rishabh Pant. At a time his economy was above 9 but after returning of Pant , he managed to revive his economy.

India go back to dressing room at 257/6 with 321 runs trail. Washington Sundar and Ravi Chandran Ashwin are in the crease. They have forged a 32-run stand off 104 balls. The match still tilted in favour of the visitors. Tomorrow, India need to bat long and England would obviously be looking for remaining six wickets.
