A debut to forget for young Ozan Kabak

The Reds’ Winter transfer window signing Ozan Kabak off to a frightful start to his Liverpool career after conceding 3 goals in his debut.

The Foxes hosted the Reds in the King Power Stadium in a battle for a better position in the top 4. Liverpool came into the game with a bad form after losing their last 2 games to the hands of Man City and Brighton. The Kings of the Anfield also gave debut to a new lad brought in from the German top flight Ozan Kabak who joined the club on the deadline day of the Winter Transfer window.

The first half of the game started with both the teams creating mild chances, but no promising chance to chance the score sheet whatsoever. The real drama began to start as the second half commenced. Both the teams shows more commitment and intent to score. Mo Salah was the first to hit the net, after Trent Alexander Arnold, Firmino and Mo Salah played some beautiful football which was finally well executed by none other than Mo Salah.

Leicester were a goal down and there was less than 15 minutes left in the clock and the thought of a win was long past gone from the heads of most of the people and something other than a Liverpool win or a draw didn’t seem to be an option. But the Leicester players had other plans, they were not going to give up until the very last second and this mentality completely payed off. Leicester scored off 3 goals in a matter of 8 minutes courtsey of Maddison, Vardy and Barnes to shock probably each and every person watching.

The goals were a result of poor defending and lack of concentration. The second goal especially, was a pathetic piece of defending, after poor communication between debutant Ozan and Allison costed in poorly losing the ball and giving it on the plate for Vardy to score.
Jurgen Klopp was personally very annoyed by the defeat, as he thought his team show a better character and a lot more commitment. It was definitely a night to forget for Young Ozan who didn’t make the best of impressions on an important day in his life. We hope that he comes back stronger.
