The English Top flight is all set to return for the 2020-21 season on the 12th of September.
Last season, the Reds finally got their hands on the esteemed Premier League trophy after craving for 3 decades.
The opening week of Premier League will see the Defending champions Liverpool end newly promoted side Leeds United’s 16 year wait to play in the top tier of England.
The Reds and Blues of Manchester won’t feature in the opening week to give them ample time to reboot after their European championships exit.
Elsewhere, Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham host Everton in their first Premier League game of the new season, while Arsenal kick-off their campaign away at Fulham.
Chelsea and Wolves will both play on Monday, September 14 away at Brighton and Sheffield United respectively.
The highly-anticipated Manchester derby will see City travel to Old Trafford on December 12 to take on United 13 days before Christmas.
Subsequently, Pep Guardiola’s men will later host United at the Etihad Stadium for round two on February 3, 2021.
The first match between the Reds of Merseyside and the Blues of Manchester will be played at City’s Etihad stadium on the 7th of November and the reverse fixture scheduled at the Anfield in early February.
While Liverpool will be heavy favorites in their opening premier league match of the season, their first major test will come on Sept. 19 when they face Chelsea away from home.
Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham will be under the spotlight as they are making a way back into the EPL.
All the matches will be a closed door affair as football continues it’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
