The 17 year old defender became the first Indian who made it to The Guardian’s list of top 60 youngsters. We caught up with him for an exclusive chat and here what he had to say.
Q. Who has been your inspiration when did your love for football started?
BY : My Dad always inspired me.
Q. What was the feeling when you made your I-League debut against Neroca FC?
BY : It was an honoured and accomplished feeling when i made my debut which I’ll cherish forever. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get 3 points that day.
Q. You were a part of U-16 squad which reached quarter finals of AFC U-16 Championship in Malaysia. How did it help you in shaping up your career from that point?
BY : The tournament made me believe that I can go further and if work hard I can become better in future. From then on l put my head up and started working staying focused.
