Manchester United finally get rid of Jesse Lingard after a streak of poor performances in the last few season and failing to comply with the club’s incredible reputation and merit.
After a streak of poor performances, Man United finally let go their former star player after signing a season long deal with West Ham United. Jesse Lingard‘s move to another club was always anticipated, as the Englishman failed to put up good performances for a number of seasons, resulting in him being subject to many memes and often made fun of by football fans.
Jesse enjoyed his best season with the Red devil in the 2017-18 season, when he scored 8 goals and assisted 5 in 33 appearances but after that season the player never seemed to bounce back into something promising and experienced huge criticism. In the following two seasons, Jesse managed to score only 4 goals(27 appearances) and 1 goal(22 appearances) respectively. This season the problem seemed to emerge even bigger and Jesse didn’t even get the chance to step on the field as a result of which he made no appearances for the Red Devils this season.
Many people say that one of the major reasons for his underperformance in the last couple of seasons can be many family and personal issues Jesse has been facing through the years and they resulted in having a huge impact in his game for the worse.
Now with his him move to the Hammers, Jesse has got an opportunity to bring back his old days as a player. One of the major reason is him reuniting with David Moyes, a coach he has worked under before. Also Wast Ham are presently having a great form and the whole of the club is full of positivity at the moment and has a good environment for Jesse to adapt with the players and make his bonds. Also we can expect Jesse to make appearances and buy some crucial game time en route to finding his form back.
Even though Jesse has had a desperate time in the last few seasons, his move to West Ham is personally a good move for the player and gives him a great chance to re-establish himself as a great player and go back to Manchester United next season with a completely different form and moral.
