Drama, Drama and Drama! The 5th day of Brisbane test between the two strongest team of the world India and Australia is full of drama.

Today the visitors gave us the taste of power hitting T20 innings in the test match. At the end of 4th day, Opener Rohit Sharma and Subhmann Gill were at the crease with the target of 328. Rohit Sharma couldn’t stay many more today on the crease and got out for 7 by pat Cummins. Then Shubman Gill who debuted in this series and the current wall of Indian team Cheteshwar Pujara kept the innings strongly and made a strong partnership.

Subhman Gill again proved why he is one of the trusted and dependable oponer of the team. Gill designed his innings with 8 fours and 2 sixes but unfortunately missed his deserved maiden century. He was just 9 runs far from the ton. Captain Rahane started a fast innings but finally dismissed at 24 of 22 balls. Cheteshwar Pujara’s innings was too much slow looklike his intensity to draw the match. He got out at 56 off 211 balls.
Before the lunch surely the match was going to draw. But after the arrival of Rishabh Pant ,the match turned completely. He was in good touch in the series, scored too fast and finally played a match winning knock of 89* runs and helped India to retain Border Gavaskar Trophy. No one can imagine that India would retain the trophy but this new India succeeded to complete the mission and proved Clarke, Pointing were wrong. Mayank Agarwal who replaced Vihari in this match got out on 9 and the other man Shardul could not stay much more. Pant single handedly helped India to create history.

Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood both were looking dangerous in the morning session but failed to reach the much needed win for Australia. Though Cummins took couple of wickets today but Mitchell Starc again failed to take a single wicket. It’s a historic win for India. Australia were unbeaten in Gabba since 1988 but India who also battled with lot of injuries break the record and coming back home with lot of self confidence.
