Title race is heated up now as Manchester City joins the race to the summit.
Yesterday Manchester City dismantled Chelsea having less possession of the ball which is not a familiar characteristics as per Pep Guardiola style. Chelsea had no clue how to break city backline. Sometimes it is boring to watch football having no penetration to opposition from Chelsea.
On the other hand Manchester City’ Kevin de Bruyne was outstanding as he scored the goal and ran through the midfield when he faced his former club Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Gundogan was the best German on the pitch. No show for Timo Werner and Kai Havertz who later came off the bench. Other goals scored by Manchester City were from Sterling and Foden. Hudson Odoi’ late consolation goal in the dying minutes couldn’t rescue Chelsea as the game was already over in first half when Manchester City were 3-0 up.
Lampard will be in a lot of pressure after the loss because this season he spent lot of money but result is worse than last year when he had transfer ban.
Chelsea – 1
C. Hudson Odoi 90+2
Man city – 3
I. Gundogan 18, F. Foden 21, K. De Bruyne 34
