Goa to host the 7th edition of the Hero Indian Super League

Hero Indian Super League 2020-21 will be staged in a closed door affair at the Western Coast of the Country.

The Governing body of the Hero Indian Super League , FSDL penned down a deal with the Sports authority of Goa, Goa Football federation and the Government of Goa to host the upcoming edition of the ISL. The FSDL identified 16 training pitches out of which 10 will be shortlisted for all the respective teams.

Alongside Goa, Kerala too was an option to host the league but Goa got the nod due to the better support from the state Government and the closer proximity between the stadiums.

The organisers have selected 3 venues across Goa for the 2020-21 season namely The Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Fatorda, Margao, the Tilak Nagar Stadium at Vasco da Gama and the GMC Athletic Stadium at Bambolim maintaining strict training and social distancing protocols.

The Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL) will be putting in efforts for the upgradation of the pitches, drainage system, flood lights and the dressing room as well.
