The love for the beautiful game is passed on from one generation to the other and for Rahul it’s been no different, “My family is very passionate about football. It was my uncle (Father’s brother) who introduced me to the sport, taught me basics and pushed me to excel . He used to take me to all local 7 a side tournaments. He is and continues to be one of my biggest inspiration. I can happily admit that my love for football was brought in by him.”
Fitness is the key to be a better version of yourself on the field and Rahul told us what he does to maintain his fitness, “In addition to regular visits to the gym, I do some basic running, swimming and cycling to keep myself fit. I also train on the field with the ball whenever possible.”

The youngster even told us about his special routine on a matchday and how he keeps himself motivated as an athlete and said, “I always try to stay positive, focussed and keep myself motivated before the match. Listening to music keeps me comfortable and stress free. Most importantly, I keep myself hydrated throughout the day and eat right before leaving to the stadium.”
On being asked about what he does to relax after a tough game he said, ” I’m usually awake after a match wherein I have played around 90 minutes. When I get back to my
room. I freshen up, talk to my family and watch the match again to analyse my game and improve for the next.”
