The Yellow Army announced on Wednesday through their social Media handles that the Goan Wing back is here to stay for the next 3 years.
Jessel is a household name in the Goan Football circuit because of his impressive stint at Dempo S.C . Despite Kerala Blasters having a forgetful Indian Super League season. Jessel surely had something to remember as the Goan debutant made sure he left no stones unturned.
Be it defence or attack, Jessel contributed in all the areas. The Goan provided 5 assists the joint-highest for a defender alongside ATK’s Prabir Das. And also had the most number of passes and interceptions. He was also the player who had the most number of appearances for the Yellow Army (18).
After putting pen to paper the Goan expressed his joy and said “I aim to be a part of the team when the club lifts their first ISL Trophy”. Jessel Carneiro saw many ups and downs in the early stages of his career as the 29 year old struggled due to injuries.
But after putting in a lot of effort he finally made it to the Indian top flight with the Kochi based franchise.
The Goan Wing back will be looking to enhance his skills and abilities under Kerala Blaster’s New Head Coach Kibu Vicuna.
