Jamshedpur wrap up their season with a 3-2 win against Bengaluru

Matchday 106 saw Jamshedpur FC end their season on a high note following a 3-2 victory against Sunil Chhetri’s Bengaluru FC.

Indian International Udanta Singh was the first player to bring TP Rehenesh into action. Chhetri’s top notch pass I’m the final third found Udanta who’s effort was ruled out by TP Rehenesh.

But, just moments later Jamshedpur FC extender their lead with a two-goal cushion as Len Doungel slotted one past the keeper with a sublime finish. Owen Coyle’s side dominated the first half as David added a third goal on the scoresheet for Jamshedpur before half-time, courtesy of an Aitor Monroy free-kick yet again.

The Blues came into the second half with different intentions. In the 61st minute, nobody dealed with a long throw-in from the left flank and at the end Fran Gonzalez was at the right place as headed the ball past Rehenesh to pull one off against the Redminers.

Sunil Chhetri scored his 100th goal for Bengaluru as he headed in a brilliant cross from the right flank by Harmanjot Khabra. Sunil Chhetri and company pushed for an equaliser until the very end and their efforts almost paid off but Rehenesh stood as the difference as the match ended 3-2 in favour of the Red miners.

Hero of the Match: Aitor Monroy

Aitor Monroy produced an all around performance and helped his side complete the double over the Blues of Bengaluru. He assisted Eze and Grande for their goals from two different free-kicks. He also made two successful tackles and two clearances.
