ATK Mohun Bagan face huge blow after their attacker Jobby Justin suffers from ACL injury during pre season training.

Anterior cruciate ligament injury or as we know it as the ACL injury, is a tear or sprain of the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee that connects the thigh bone to the shin bone and it is one of the major ligaments present in the knee. This injury most commonly occurs in sports that involve study and stop or changes in direction jumping and landing such as football, basketball, etc.

While training for the upcoming 2020 21 season Jobby Justin sadly tore his ACL tissue, which will now rule him out for the entire ISL season, as the ACL is a major injury which takes several months for a player to recover from.

Jobby Justin’s surgery will now take place in Mumbai where he will also rehab and try to make a quick recovery for the upcoming AFC Cup in mid 2021. Though Jobby has caught up a very serious injury, but we hope and pray that he quickly recovers and gets back on the field as soon as possible.

The loss of Jobby Justin from the squad, has created a lot of problems for the Mariners, as they have lost a versatile attacker, capable of exploiting the keepers, who can also play in the right wing. Antonio Habas would now have to come up with some new plans and address the situation as early as possible, as the Mariners take on the Blasters in the opening game of the new season on 20th of November.
