FC Barcelona is still unable to recover from their Champions League exit. The friday night marked the worst nightmare in their club history as they lost to Bundesliga giants, FC Bayern München 8-2.
A disastrous loss that had developed much hatred amongst the fans for their favourite club. This was FC Barcelona’s worst season in the recent time, as they were unable to clinch a single title this season.
In today’s meeting, the Board has decided to fire Quique Setien and Holland boss Ronald Koeman has been announced the new boss. He has agreed for a two-year deal at the Camp Nou and the paperwork is expected to be completed by the end of this week.
Ronald Koeman has already been a former player for the Blaugranas and his freekick back in 1992 Champions League final, helped Barça win their first ever Champions League title.
Already an icon at the Catalan giants and a follower of Sir Johan Cruyff’s ideology, expectations are readily high from Barça’s new manager and his utilisation of players as per their playing-style as well as his unique tactical gameplan will hopefully be a delight to watch next season.
