The Nizams of Hyderabad are on a seven match unbeaten run and come into this tie following a 2-0 victory against Chennaiyin last weekend. They have been on the top of their game in evey aspect of game, be it attacking or defending. Hyderabad have also kept 3 clean sheets and things have unfolded themselves pretty well on the other end of the pitch. Aridane Santana, Joel Chianese have been really instrumental for the type of football they play.
“The work of Khalid [Jamil] is very good because it is not easy to beat Mumbai City, Jamshedpur and ATK Mohun Bagan. But I think the most important thing that Khalid gives to his players is confidence. They have three very dangerous players in attack: [Luis] Machado, [Federico] Gallego and Deshorn Brown. They have a lot of confidence. But we will have chances to win the game as well if we play in our own style,” Hyderabad head coach Manuel Marquez said ahead of the game.

Northeast United themselves are going through a purple patch after parting ways with Gerard Nus. Khalid Jamil has changed the morale of this team from the top to the bottom. The Highlanders rescued a point against FC Goa in 2-2 draw and displayed their hunger and will towards getting a positive result. Khalid Jamil’s side have conceded in their last 9 league games and have failed to keep a shut out. But, their attacking prowess is second to none as they have scored the second highest number of goals (21) this season. Northeast United will aslo be poised to take revenge of the 4-2 defeat against the Nizams back in january.
“Hyderabad is a good team. They prepare very well, they know we played with them last match. So, our preperation should always be the same but talking about tomorrow’s match, it is one of the crucial match and a vital match,” said Interim head coach Khalid Jamil at the pre-match press conference.

Players to watch out for:

Chinglensana Singh (Hyderabad FC)
The Indian defender has been on the top of his game this season. His ability to control the ball well, smooth passing has made him a better player and he has cemented his place in the starting XI of Hyderabad FC.

Lalengmawia (Northeast United FC)
The Former U17 World cupper has already received applauds from the Indian footballing fraternity for his mature decision making in the middle of the park. He will have a big role to play against Hyderabad in the absence of his midfield partner Khassa Camara.

Probable Starting XI:

Hyderabad FC (4-2-3-1): Kattimani (GK), Yasir, Odei, Sana, Akash, Sastre, Hitesh, Rai, Chianese, Sandanza, Santana.

Northeast United FC (4-3-3): Subhashish (GK), Nim, Fox, Lambot, Lakra, Lalengmawia, Mashoor, Gallego, Machado, Suhair, Ninthoi.
