All eyes on Chelsea : One Step away from deciding the Premier League

If you are Chelsea fan then tonight it’s going to be tough for you. Oh wait we forgot about Manchester City.

The equation is simple if they lose or draw tonight they lose out on defending the premier league trophy. If City wins tonight versus Chelsea then the title race is still on. Of course it’s for a week atleast only if Liverpool wins their next game then it’s their trophy this season.

Pep Guardiola’s men who are the defending champions are way behind League leaders Liverpool by 23 points. Even if City wins their last eight matches they can gather maximum 87 points this season but for Liverpool they are sitting comfortably on 86 points. They have seven games in hand and just require two points to secure their title. It has been 30 years wait for them winning the league trophy, which they have won last in 1990.

Chelsea on the other hand are now closing up on Leicester City’s position in the league and just behind them is Manchester United who are also eyeing a champions league spot after all these years. Chelsea have a history with title winning goals. they have the chance of doing this for the fourth time in the last six seasons. This time if they make sure City drop points today then Liverpool will be called the Champions today itself.

It’s going to be a thriller of a game as football fans around the globe will keep an eye on this particular games. City fans will hope they win tonight and delay the party for Liverpool but on the other hand Liverpool supporters will be backing Chelsea for the win tonight even a draw by Chelsea will suffice for them.
