James Anderson aces yet another test match , storms into the 600 wicket club .
James Anderson, the 38 years old English cricket player
famed as one of world’s finest swing bowlers adds yet
another feather in his cap. On Tuesday , August 25 , James Anderson became the first fast bowler to take 600 test wickets.
On this eventful day , Anderson showed the Pakistani
Captain Azhar Ali the door ,it was the fifth and final test
between the two teams ,that was being held at
Southampton. He took a five wicket haul during
Pakistan’s first innings, in the second innings he
dismissed Abid Ali and Azhar . Only very few cricketers
such as Muttiah Muralitharan ,Shane Warne and Anil
Kumble have broken the 600 wicket barrier in the past.
The right arm pace bowler arrived to the international
cricket scene only in 2003. He has played more than 150
test matches and approximately 200 one day internationals.
It was the 2003 World Cup where he established himself as a promising cricketer. He played against Pakistan and collected four wickets in a day. This was just the start of his remarkable career ,that would only skyrocket in the future.
In the same year he made his presence known in the world of cricket with his outstanding perfomance in the Test Cricket Match against Zimbabwe .He went on to take five wickets in an innings. Despite certain lows in his career he had made it a point to take it uphill again.
There is absolutely no doubt about his prowess and his
reputation on field but this achievement serves as a
testament to his rigorous work ethics that eventually
led him to make headway .
As cricket and sports enthusiasts we are thrilled by this
news ,as the dexterous player sets a new milestone!
