Antoine Griezmann storms Blaugrana fans down the memory lane

Date:

FC Barcelona are still in the title race. All thanks to Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suárez.
On 5th July 2020, the Catalan giants defeated the Yellow Submarine 4-1. But, what made this match special was Antoine Griezmann or aka Griezzy’s goal.

On 19th March 2019, in the 2018-19 season of LaLiga, FC Barcelona was playing against Real Betis. The Blaugrana were dominating over the Betis side. After a well-knitted TikiTaka play, ball was with midefielder Ivan Rakitić.

He was present on the left side of the edge of the 18-yard box, he found Lionel Messi closing in. He passed the ball and within a moment or so, La Pulga launched the ball with a gentle chip and made it land in the far post leaving the goalie with no chance to stop it from entering the net.

A classic goal by the Atomic Flea! A similar goal was noticed by French forward Antoine Griezmann day-before-yesterday. Antoine Griezmann’s goal was infact from outisde the 18-yard box while Messi’s one was from the edge.

A player who was not in the starting XI against his former team and who has only completed the whole 90 minutes just 5 times in 17 appearances under the new manager proved that he is actually worth every penny in the match against the Yellow Submarine (Villareal CF).
