India will look to end the 4th and final test with a win

After a dominant performance by team India in the pink ball test, the Virat Kohli led India will high in confidence after a convincing 10-wicket victory in the 3rd test now they are just a step away from a spot in the final of the World Test Championship at Lord’s in June. With England knocked out of the race , India will either have to win or draw the 4th test in order to qualify for the finals of the World Test Championship. Last time around , there were lots of discussions about the pitch bring prepared for the 3rd test which was a rank Turner and the English batsmen failed miserably as they were able to manage only 112 in the 1st innings and 81 in the 2nd innings .

All eyes will be on spin twins Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel who literally spun a web in the pink ball test as the duo picked up1a total of 18 English wickets combined. Two days back, a senior bcci official made a statement that it will be a batting beauty in the 4th test and it is expected that it will be a high scoring match. But if England has to level the series, then they will have to bat out their skin and find a way to counter spin on these challenging tracks and if they do manage to level the series then Australia will qualify for the World Test Championship final .The English team selection of the last test was quite debatable as they took the field with 3 Pacers and just one spinner . It is being predicted that off spinner Dom Bess is likely to make a return in the playing 11.

For India , either Umesh Yadav who recently returned from an injury , or Mohammed Siraj is likely to fill the Jasprit Bumrah’s place who is on a leave due to personal reasons . India might also go with Chinaman Kuldeep Yadav who might be really effective considering the weakness of the English batters against spin in place of Washington Sundar .

With plenty to play for , both teams will look to give their level best for one last time in the Paytm Test series and an exciting encounter between two greats teams awaits ahead of us.
