Everytime Odisha FC announces their new signing, the fans get gaga over it. And now, another much awaited announcement has been made by the club.
After, Brazil and Australia, now Odisha FC fans will have flare of Tiki-Taka in their football. Spanish striker, Manuel Onwu has signed a deal of one year with the Bhubaneshwar-based club.
The 32- year old striker previously joined Bengaluru FC prior to the sixth edition of the Hero ISL but, he was on fire at Odisha FC on loan, by the end of the tournament. Previously, he has played in LaLiga for CA Osasuna after representing their B team. The striker has got great precision and a magical ball control that helps him to convert.
In the last season, he managed to get seven goals for his name including a hat-trick against Kerala Blasters at the Kalinga Stadium. Odisha FC club president, Rohan Sharma is also relying on the Diego, Marcelinho and Onwu trio for the club’s fortune. He has got high expectations from the forward-line as it seems promising.
Infact, after Onwu penned down the deal, he said that, “I am delighted to be back at Odisha FC for another season. I felt good things with the squad and the fans last year which left me with no doubt when Coach Stuart spoke to me. I had kept in touch with the Indian boys after the season was over and can’t wait to see them again”.
