UEFA Nations League : Wonderkids set a new Benchmark as Spain Defeat Ukraine 4-0

International Football is back into play after a long hold due to the Coronavirus Pandemic in the form of the UEFA Nations league. The Matchday 2 of the European Championship saw some of the brilliant performances by the youngsters.

Barcelona’s Ansu Fati has become Spain’s youngest ever goalscorer at 17 years and 311 days old. The Barcelona starlet scored his debut goal in a 4-0 Nations League win over Ukraine on Sunday when he added the 2nd for his team.

The Spanish Wonderkid won a penalty in the opening 3 minutes and Skipper Sergio Ramos made no mistake in converting in from the spot. Barcelona’s No. 31 fired an unstoppable screamer past the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute, thanks to a brilliant pass from Sergio Reguilon.

Ansu Fati broke 95 year old record.

The Spaniard could have scored his debut goal against the Germans a few days back when he headed past Trapp in the Matchday 1 but the goal was ruled out due to a foul by Sergio Ramos. But, Nevertheless Ansu found his first goal while donning the colours of his Country in his 2nd Cap.

The 2019-20 season was a season to forget for the Catalans but it was a one to remember for the 17 year old individually. He became the youngest goalscorer in the Champions League for FC Barcelona and he got everyone talking due to his heroics up front.

Ramos completed his brace when he netted the 3rd goal of the night for Luis Enrique’s Men and wrote his name in the record book as he became the highest goal scoring defender and also the 8th highest joint goal scorer for Spain. Super Sub and City’s latest recruit Ferran Torres added a fourth in the form of his debut goal in fine fashion as he volleyed home from inside the area after Serhiy Kryvtsov’s headed clearance fell kindly for him.

Manchester City defender Eric García and Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilón also made their debut for Spain in the UEFA Nations League.
